Crank up the electricity, we’re gathering pollen!
Honey bees rub their limbs together and generate a positive electric charge. Flowers, on the other hand, have a negative charge. Static electricity is what makes the pollen jump on to the bee. There is research that states it helps honey bees identify flowers that haven’t been visited by other bees.. since the charges are still strong and not balanced.
